Massage Therapy
has many wonderful benefits. I would like to share what you can expect from a massage in my office. The atmosphere is serene, a place of healing. You will begin, face up, on my table. I like to begin the session with a Still Point. This is a Cranial Sacral method. Your session is tailored to meet your specific needs, be it full body relaxation or focused attention on areas of concern. At the end of your massage, you can look forward to two hot towels.

Applied Bio-Mechanics
was
developed by John L. Hurley in the late 20's, early 30's. He used his knowledge of mechanical engineering along with
his studies of George W. Crile's book "The Bi-Polar Theory of Living Processes" to develop a method of healing that
would work to restore the body's center of gravity promoting healing,
better function, improved range of motion, decrease in pain, better
structural alignment and in some cases, complete reversal of believed
chronic issues. I take notes before and after the session to show the
measurable differences that normally happen every session. My passion
for this work is not relaxation, though it is a definite side effect. My
goal is to help eliminate the cause of discomfort. I want to aid in the
reversal of chronic issues and intolerable pain. I believe so much in
this work and what I've seen it do that I will strive to make this a
common name in the field of touch therapy. I have seen miracles
happen. I can't promise an outcome but I can promise I will try my best
to help you with the skills and the gifts I possess.

The Work
is a session consisting of Applied Bio-Mechanics followed by Cranial Sacral Therapy. This session can last anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the rate at which your body releases. This is the session I recommend above all others as I feel it has a very complete approach. By far, the Applied Bio-Mechanics is the most effective of the two but as for the overall feeling of wellness achieved and maximum result in benefit, both together really provide a total approach to well being.
Applied Bio-Mechanics has to do with your structure. It finds where your center of gravity has moved to and works to encourage your body to move back into place so it can begin to heal itself. Then the CranioSacral comes in and restores the balance and rhythm of the system that bathes your brain and spinal cord. I have always looked at it as pressing reset on the nervous system. When both of these are used together, I feel it eases the transition of the change the body goes through when it is continuing the work of the Bio-Mechanics.

Massage Therapy Red Light/Near Infrared Light Therapy 60 or 90 minutes + 30 minutes.
After your 60 minute massage, a Red Light/ Near Infrared Light will be placed near your prevalent area of pain/discomfort. Red light therapy has been shown to accelerate therapeutic chemical processes in the cells of the human body. Benefits include, but are not limited to: increase in circulation allowing for greater nutrient-rich blood flow to nerves, muscles, joints and other tissues, which improves tissue oxygenation and reduces inflammation. As lymphatic drainage increases, so does the activity of white blood cells; speeding the clean up of cellular waste and debris. Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production is also stimulated, which increases energy within the cells. *Relax and enjoy 30 minutes of nap therapy under the red light after your massage.*
